We believe that the most important thing we can do for our patients is to foster a healthy working environment where the 1650+ professional and support staff feel 100% engaged in the care of our patients and each other. This culture of caring sets Rutland Regional apart from many hospital systems in the region as our many awards and industry recognitions can attest.
At Rutland Regional we manage and adapt to change and growth while continuing our focus on a high standard of personalized, quality medical care, adding key specialties to serve community needs, and focusing on attracting and recruiting highly trained doctors, nurses and staff. We are committed to providing the services, both in and out of the hospital, required to maintain the health of not just our patients, but the entire community.
The hospital’s medical staff is supported by excellent nurses, high quality diagnostic and ancillary services and a broad array of sophisticated equipment technology, including advanced diagnostic imaging, a top-of-the-line linear accelerator used in the treatment of cancer patients, two new 3D breast imaging machines, and a diagnostic Cardiovascular and Angiographic Lab.
Over the past 120+ years, Rutland Regional Medical Center has grown to become the state’s largest community hospital and the second largest hospital. Today, we have 133 patient beds, a newly expanded emergency department, and we employ over 1,650 professional and support staff including 227 providers trained in 37 specialty areas. We provide preventive, diagnostic, acute and rehabilitative services to Rutland County, portions of southern and central Vermont and communities in eastern New York State.
We invite you to explore ways in which you can become part of our award-winning healthcare team. Thanks in advance for your consideration and thank you for all you do in caring for patients and their families.
